Not an Overreaction
Each person photographed after describing where they physically feel racism - cold hands, sweaty palms, heavy thud in the chest. Often labeled anxiety, many described it as suppressed anger. The feeling of being unable to respond without risking livelihood. Inspired by a friend whose employer mimicked the sound of a whip while giving an order. He needed the job to pay for college. He stayed silent.
